Comes in Via Pantaneto, in the historic center of Siena, the first fish take away al of locally grown production and local sourced seafood! If you have some free time and want to give yourself the pleasure of slow food, you can stop here and sit to enjoy our fries with home made sauces, seafood sandwiches or an aperitif whit fresh fish proposal with good Tuscan wine. Mare Nostrum is born from the desire to give an interpretation to the high quality street food, according to the values of good fish and eating healthy. The idea to create in Siena a modern “thermopolium” comes from Fabio Vignoli that, combining the ethics and the respect for the sea searching for the good taste, had the desire and the courage to reconnect the city to the sea whose domain, in the Republican era, stretched to the Tyrrhenian sea. Sapad and Federico, the amazing Chefs, perform everyday a fresh menu that shares with Fabio the identifying value of Mare Nostrum, expressed in the motto “good fish that does well to the sea”.
